DAYS OF CHRISTMAS

wow, sorry that i am such a slacker and have not posted in a few days. i have just been enjoying the days off. don't worry, i didn't just neglect my blog, but also house work, and anything else i could possibly get away with not doing and i spent time with my family. it was wonderful. we played, ate good food, and just rested. it has been a wonderful christmas and i couldn't be happier.

on christmas eve we made our way up to the snow and went snowshoeing. there was lots of snow which made the untouched trail absolutely gorgeous. it was sunny and clear. the snow was clean and deep, the trees were covered and occasionally dropping chunks of snow as the sun melted different parts. it was just the tHree of us, in the middle of the trees, the sun beating down, but not too bright or too hot. the little one came along in her front carrier and slept while we walked. i think she loved it! it was her first little adventure!

we got back and had takeout and then just relaxed the rest of the day...well the man and the little one slept and i cleaned the house, so it was relaxing for all of us. then we headed to bed and in the morning headed to grandma and grandpas house and spent the day with other extended family, ate great food (roast, potatoes, good bread, good cheese, homemade pickled beets, peppers, green beans, apple butter, cookies, sees candies...)lets just say i exceeded the recommended caloric intake for a woman of my size or any size. we opened presents from santa and family and the little one went nuts over her new toys. i got the nativity i wanted and was so happy about that. we were all exhausted by the end of the night and headed home. yesterday and today are filled with cleaning and trying to figure out where all of the new toys go and what to get rid of to make space. the little one i think is still exhausted from major over stimulation, but she had a great time! all in all life is good. sorry i have missed a few days, we are all back on track now! hope you all had a great few days of christmas and you got to enjoy friends, family, fun and of course food!
